Guidelines and Rules
- Make your first post. Once you have registered, you have one month to make your first post. I don't care where, just SOMEWHERE.
- Remain active. After your initial post, your account will be deleted either after one month of not posting (even if you log in), or after two weeks of not logging in. If this is going to be a problem (aka you will be without internet access for that obscenely long time), PM or email staff in advance so that we can give your account "immunity."
- Do not godmode, powermode, or metagame. Read the post on "RPG and OOC Etiquette" for definitions. (And I mean it, cause if you do this and claim that you don't know, I'll know you didn't read the rules, and you'll get into MORE trouble.)
- Keep it clean. Watch what you post, not only in terms of language but also in terms of violence/graphicity (don't know if that's a word, but it is now), so that you don't unnecessarily offend people. On the flip side, don't get offended at every little thing. This is a war site, and it's gonna get a little messy in terms of both language and violence. Slash-graphicity.
- Stay in-character. When you are posting in the RP (roleplay) areas, do not make posts that are entirely OOC (Out Of Character). Those sorts of things can be communicated through a Private Message. If you have to add something OOC to an IC (In Character) post, separate it a little bit and put "OOC:" at the beginning.
- Use common sense. You can join the RP at any time and at any place, but be realistic, and think critically about where you post. If there's an enormous battle, most people's first inclination is going to be to stay away. Just use good judgment.
- Don't post the same character in two places at once. Nobody has dimension-hopping powers; you get from one place to another by walking, running, riding something, or teleporting if you have the power. And think about the areas that you are passing through -- you may have to post in-between your starting point and your destination if something might happen to you.
- Earn extra character slots. New members and White Star ranked members can have up to four characters; Green Star, Red Star, and Blue Star ranked members can have up to five characters on your account; but no more. Also, please have your primary character's name set to your Display Name.
- You can approach us. You are free to ask me for my reasons for making a decision, but pretty much nothing overturns an admin's decision. The same thing goes for the other staff members, but I'll have the final word in almost everything.
NOTE: I am not, however, an evil psychotic admin bent on making members' lives miserable. I'm pretty laid-back actually. If you reason with me, there's a good chance we come to a compromise. Respond negatively to me (or any staff member), and there will be consequences.
NINJA EDIT! I, Alton, AM an evil psyco bent on making members lives miserable if they fail to uphold the standards of the site. I stay mostly low key until something sets me off, but I am a firm believer in rapid escalation. The first thing might get you a slap on the wrist, and then the same thing a day later would get me trying to temp. ban you. But fear not (or rather, have less fear then normal), because Sulome, the reasonable one, out-ranks me and can undo anything I do, including this edit. But maybe he won't notice...yelling ninja at the top of it will surely make it invisible...
